Lucinda Williams has revealed she'll be releasing her brand new album, Stories from a Rock N Roll Heart, on June 30.
The lead single from the hotly anticipated project, ‘New York Comeback’, has been made available immediately.
The uptempo, jubilant track features backing vocals from rock royalty, Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa, and has served to intensify the eagerness with which listeners are looking forward to the new record.
Stories from a Rock N Roll Heart will be the follow-up to Williams’ much-loved 2020 album, Good Souls Better Angels, which produced fan-favourites such as ‘You Can't Rule Me‘.
Along with Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa, the new album will feature a stellar roster of guests, including the likes of Margo Price, who contributes backing vocals to ‘This Is Not My Town’.
Jeremy Ivey, Angel Olsen, Jesse Malin, Buddy Miller and Tommy Stinson also feature, while Bruce and Patti return for a second set of backing vocals on ‘Rock N Roll Heart’.
Ahead of the new album, Lucinda Williams is gearing up to release her memoir, Don’t Tell Anybody The Secrets I Told You, on April 25.
It will explore the rock and Americana veteran's illustrious career, as well as her recovery from a life-altering stroke in 2020, which led to her having to relearn how to walk and play the guitar.
