Lana Del Rey has been teasing the release of an album of country covers.
Del Rey, who has just released her seventh studio album entitled Chemtrails Over The Country Club, recently explained how her writing has always had a country aspect to it.
Speaking about the record she’s been working on, she said “I went back and listened to ‘Ride’ and ‘Video Games’ and thought, you know they’re kind of country. I mean, they’re definitely not pop.”
She went on to say how she has a close circle of friends within the country music community, and how she has a couple of title ideas in mind for the record.
As yet, there's no release date in place for the country covers record. Her last album came out on March 19th, and she announced over instagram that her eighth studio album, Rock Candy Sweet, will be released on June 1st.
