One of Europe's most celebrated festivals, NOS Alive, returns to Portugal this week, with a wonderfully eclectic array of artists descending on Passeio Marítimo de Algés in Oeiras - just on the outskirts of Lisbon - across July 10th to 12th, 2025.
We can't wait to be moved by an array of evocative, heart-rending earworms from folk titan, Noah Kahan, electrified by Olivia Rodrigo's irresistible pop-punk blend and galvanised by dance trailblazer, Anyma, over the course of the Portugal extravaganza.
As is to be expected, given the explosion of popularity being enjoyed by country and folk, both genres enjoy a strong presence throughout the NOS Alive 2025 line-up, with the likes of Kahan, Mark Ambor, Finneas and CMAT all on the stellar bill.
NOS Alive 2025 once again reminds us why it has built a reputation for having one of the most diverse and genre-spanning festival line-ups in Europe, with fans able to soak up live acts hailing from pop, rock, country, folk, dance, alternative and more. Sam Fender has sadly had to withdraw from NOS Alive 2025, after sustaining a vocal chord injury, with The Wombats replacing Fender on the roster.
The set times have been revealed, with the Thursday headliner, Olivia Rodrigo, kicking off her set at 11:15, while both the Friday and Saturday headliners, Anyma and Nine Inch Nails, don't begin their performances until a little later at quarter past midnight.
The full set times have been unveiled in the above Instagram post, with this information also available via the official NOS Alive 2025 app. Noah Kahan, a Holler favourite, performs at 9:10pm on Friday, with his set due to last until approximately 10:30pm.
He debuted a brand new track, ‘We Go Way Back’, during his recent show in Belgium, and as the sense of anticipation continues to build ahead of his next album, we're hoping he might treat us to another unreleased gem in Portugal. We're also wondering if he might join forces with his good friend, Olivia Rodrigo, during her set.
For those seeking some last-minute tickets to NOS Alive 2025, the on-site ticket office is open from 12pm to 3am on each day of the festival. The gates open at 3pm.
Handily, there's a cloakroom that's open from 2pm until 5am, with each item you leave costing just €1. NOS Alive 2025 will keep you dancing long into the evening, with the festival not coming to a close until around 4am across each of the three nights.
As NOS Alive 2025 is such a popular event, a number of local transport systems operate with extended hours to help attendees get home following each day's action.
The best options are outlined in this helpful NOS Alive 2025 Instagram post (see above), with the organisers advising ticket-holders to take either the Special Bus Service, the CP Train Special Service, a taxi or - if you want to travel in style - a boat. Unfortunately, despite Noah Kahan promising in his hit song, ‘Forever’, “I'll build a boat / for when the river gets high”, we are yet to hear of any nautical creations from the ‘Stick Season’ hitmaker that could help us at NOS Alive 2025...
If you're staying at Lisboa Camping & Bungalows throughout NOS Alive 2025, there is a dedicated shuttle service that will be transporting punters to and from the site. It will be taking attendees to the festival between 2pm and 8:30pm, and it will be taking attendees back home from the festival between 12:30am and 4:15am.
As is the case for most large festivals, there is a strict policy on what you can and can't bring into NOS Alive 2025. The list of prohibited items is relatively commonsensical, with attendees not allowed to bring in large suitcases, sharp objects, umbrellas, tents and more. You can see the full list via the official NOS Alive 2025 app.
It's important to note, as well, that you'll need some form of personal identification when picking up your tickets. If you have a daily ticket, once you've entered NOS Alive 2025, you won't be able to leave the festival grounds and return later that day. If you have a three-day pass and matching wristband, you can come and go.
There are a plethora of exciting unknowns as we gear up for the 2025 instalment of NOS Alive 2025. What will each artist perform? Will anyone have any surprise guests up their sleeves? Might there be some blockbuster announcements in store?
We'll just have to wait and see - but one thing is for certain, if you're travelling to NOS Alive 2025 this week, based on this incredible line-up, you're in for a spectacular few days.
