With just a handful of shows left of his I'm the Problem Tour, Morgan Wallen is setting his sights on the East Coast before departing for the Canadian leg of his massive stadium trek.
This weekend, the 'You Proof' hitmaker will be treating fans in and around Foxborough, Massachusetts to his sprawling, hit-riddled repertoire, taking over Gillette Stadium for a thrilling double-header at the home of the New England Patriots.
The stadium floodlights will capture Wallen's exceptional artistry on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23, with Zach John King and Corey Kent kicking off both nights. Miranda Lambert will be along for the fun, as well, the 'Kerosene' hitmaker acting as direct support for the fellow country superstar at the this batch of shows.
Lambert has been trading off support duties all summer long, but whenever the two have found themselves under the same roof, they have usually united onstage for a powerful rendition of Wallen's popular duet, ‘Cowgirls’. Zach John King and Corey Kent are also likely to make appearances during the set, perhaps joining the headliner for 'Up Down' and 'I Had Some Help.'
Even more songs from his latest release, I'm the Problem, will absolutely be getting their time in the spotlight over the course of the weekend, with Wallen known for playing ‘I Got Better’, ‘Don't We’, ‘Just in Case’, ‘I'm a Little Crazy’, ‘Superman’ and ‘Love Somebody’ during his near-30-song sets.
Long-running successes, like ’Whiskey Glasses’, ‘The Way I Talk’ and ‘Last Night’, have a good chances of peppering the lineup, as well.
But maybe more so than the song choices, fans should also be in for a treat when it comes to the star's always impressive, often unexpected walk-out guests.
Having recruited the likes of artist Kid Rock, actor David Spade and football great Brett Favre throughout this run of shows, there's no telling who Wallen will swagger out with this weekend. Former Patriot and NFL hero Tom Brady, perhaps? Famed Bostonians like Mark Wahlberg or Ben Affleck? Barstool Sports founder Dave Portney, maybe? We'll just have to wait and see.
As always, it's important to know before you go.
If driving to the venue, be aware that stadium parking lots open at 1:15 p.m., and close once the event concludes. Prepaid parking is currently sold-out, but there are other general parking options.
For those using a rideshare system, there is a designated drop off and pick up area located in Lot 15. Further details can be found on the stadium's official site.
As with many venues today, Gillette adheres to a bag policy, with non-clear bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” and clear bags not exceeding 12” x 6” x 12” allowed within the event space.
If merch is on your mind, you can get a sneak peek at some of the options that have been made available throughout the tour so far. Rep the man of the hour with a vast array of hats, shirts, hoodies and more, and prepare for two more nights of Morgan Wallen at his finest.
