Lainey Wilson is kicking off her sprawling Whirlwind World Tour 2025 this week at Phoenix's PHX Arena.
Marking the first of a long list of dates for the decorated country hitmaker, fans will be heading into the venue this Thursday (August 14) with plenty of unanswered questions, including what might land on the Entertainer of the Year's hallowed setlist, what surprise guests might pop up and what general magical moments the Louisiana native has up her rhinestoned sleeve.
While Wilson has quite the crew of supporting acts alongside her for the highly-anticipated 2025 run of shows, the Phoenix crowd will be graced with opening performances from the likes of Kaitlin Butts, who is set to take the stage around 7pm, and ERNEST.
Anything could happen on this first night of tour, but we're expecting that Wilson will be bringing both of these beloved friends and peers out at some point during her set. Considering their 2024 duet, 'Would If I Could,' it would be no surprise if ERNEST reappeared to partner up with Wilson for a gorgeous live rendition of the tune.
On the other hand, Wilson and Butts have yet to formally have a duet moment thus far, but we're willing to bet that if the swaying 'Good Horses' is included on Wilson's 2025 setlist, that Butts will be filling in for the masterful Miranda Lambert.
Elsewhere during Wilson's set, we expect that the 'Watermelon Moonshine' crooner will provide no shortage of her massive hit songs and beloved fan-favorites, including 'Things A Man Oughta Know,' 'Hang Tight Honey,' 'Heart Like A Truck' and more, as well as her newest musical offering, 'Somewhere Over Laredo.'
Along the way, though, we anticipate that the Queen of Bell Bottom Country will have plenty of tracks from her most recent 2024 record, Whirlwind, too, whether it be the atmospheric title track or high-energy cuts like 'Bar In Baton Rouge,' 'Ring Finger,' 'Keep Up With Jones' and 'Country's Cool Again,' among others.
Doors to PHX Arena are scheduled to open at 6pm–approximately one hour before the first artist takes the stage. Wilson should be hitting the stage to kick off her headlining set at around 9pm, with the ‘4x4xU’ singer-songwriter more than likely slated to strut her stuff for around 90 minutes.
As you prepare for a stellar night, make sure to know before you go. As with many event spaces, the arena adheres to a bag policy, allowing bags that are no larger than 14” x 14” x 6” in size. For the full bag and building policies, head here.
Knowing Lainey Wilson, her 2025 tour merch will be nothing short of phenomenal. If it's anything like the fresh batch of merchandise available on her official website, fans will be able to grab the newest and coolest Wilson swag, including a variety of T-shirts, crop tops, baseball caps, keychains, sweatshirts, koozies, vinyl records and more ahead of the exciting Phoenix show.
