It's finally time to take off our shoes and shirts and leave our problems behind, as Kenny Chesney's Live at Sphere Las Vegas residency kicks off tonight (Thursday, May 22nd).

This year, the ‘No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems’ hitmaker has eschewed his traditional summer stadium tour, in favour of a momentous 15-date run at one of the most innovative venues in the world - the immersive Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brandi Cyrus will be helping to set the mood with a flurry of country-tinged floor-fillers, with the show due to start at 8pm. Then, Kenny Chesney will storm onto the stage for his blockbuster set. We can't wait to see what songs he chooses to introduce into his setlist for Sphere, but the country titan has been teasing that he'll be performing some “deeper cuts” that he wouldn't usually play live.

Given the nature of the venue, you can undoubtedly look forward to a multi-sensory experience, with Chesney taking fans through his wonderfully eclectic, joyful discography.

Sphere has a range of advice, FAQs and details regarding what you are and are not allowed to bring into the venue, including information relating to bags and recording equipment here.

Before you head into Sphere, make sure to pop into the Guitars, Tiki Bars and A Whole Lotta Love fan museum, which features a dizzying array of artefacts, mementos and exclusive merchandise designed especially for Chesney's Vegas residency.

Earlier in the week, the Knoxville legend underlined how these fifteen shows will be unlike any other show he's delivered, “You can’t truly imagine it. When people say you have to experience it to really understand, they aren’t kidding. Even with all the simulators, the special editing facilities, the way we have approached rehearsals, it wasn’t until we got inside Sphere that me, the band, the crew and all our road family truly got it. It is a whole other world - and I can’t wait for the people who’ve loved this music so intensely to experience this”.

The ’There Goes My Life’ crooner expanded, “It’s so much more than just seeing a concert...Keeping the focus on these songs. It made us really creative. Some of what we shot, the way the sound is being sculpted, we’re taking these songs deeper into what they can be – and when we got onstage to start rehearsing, everybody was blown away by how much more every single song seemed to mean”.

It's safe to say the anticipation is sky-high ahead of Kenny Chesney's Las Vegas Sphere run, with the Tropical Country trailblazer becoming the first country artist to headline this groundbreaking venue. Chesney has teased that we can expect some “special guests”, so we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that he'll be joining forces with some of his collaborators from over the years during the residency, such as Megan Moroney, Kelsea Ballerini, Old Dominion and Mac McAnally.
