2025 Americana Honors & Awards: Date, Performers & Nominees

It's been a phenomenal year for Americana and all its many creators, underpinned by the top-tier collection of nominees at this year's 24th Annual Americana Honors & Awards.

Set to once again take place at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium, the ceremony will be held on September 10 as the keystone event of the beloved AMERICANAFEST schedule, running from September 9-13.

Ahead of this year's events, Holler favorites and Americana stalwarts Charley Crockett, MJ Lenderman, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings all received multiple nods.

Crockett sees his name in the running for Album of the Year thanks to his Lonesome Drifter record, as well as the highest honor of Artist of the Year. Similarly, Rateliff and company are up for Album of the Year (South of Here) and Song of the Year ('Heartless'), while Lenderman sees three nods for Song of the Year ('Wristwatch'), Album of the Year (Manning Fireworks) and Emerging Act of the Year. Elsewhere, Welch & Rawlings are in the running for Album of the Year (Woodlands) and Duo/Group of the Year.

Other inclusions in the Song of the Year category include Maggie Antone's 'Johnny Moonshine,' I'm With Her's 'Ancient Light' and JD McPherson's 'Sunshine Getaway.' Meanwhile, the Duo/Group of the Year nominees also feature Julien Baker & TORRES, Dawes, Larkin Poe & The Mavericks.

The Emerging Act of the Year nominees are especially interesting this year as they feature a few familiar faces and Holler favorites, including Noeline Hofmann, Medium Build, Maggie Rose and Jesse Welles. Similarly, the Artist of the Year category features big hitters of the genre like Sierra Ferrell, Joy Oladokun, Billy Strings and Waxahatchee who will all be vying for the crown this September.
