Devin Dawson has released a brand new video for his single 'He Loved Her', an honest and loving tribute to his grandfather Jerry Durrett, which invites the viewer into his home as he spends the day with his grandparents.
The video, directed by Tyler Conrad, sees the pair enjoying time together back in Dawson’s hometown of Orangevale, CA. Prior to the filming, it had been a year since Dawson was able to see his grandparents.
They spent their days together as simply as 'He Loved Her' would suggest, telling stories and working around the house. Dawson also revealed that his grandfather was able to show him the finished Ford Model A, featured in the video, that he had been putting together for nearly 15 years.
'He Loved Her' was penned alongside songwriter Nicole Galyon (whose collaborators include Keith Urban, Camilla Cabello and Miranda Lambert) and Jordan Reynolds (Dan + Shay, Thomas Rhett).
The track is one of six to be featured on Dawson's upcoming The Pink Slip EP, which will be available everywhere next Friday, January 15th 2021.
