Country music up comer Tiera joined Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to discuss her new song, 'Not Your Girl'.
Speaking of the song, she said, “We wrote this song from a relationship perspective, but really it's about when I first moved to Nashville.
It was really important for me to figure out my sound and the brand and everything. Just figure it all out myself before I had anybody else telling me what to do”.
Tiera, who also has her own Apple Music show, has recently been involved in CMT’s Next Women of Country and Listen Up classes.
She discussed who her dream collaborators would be, picking two queens of the genre - Dolly Parton and Shania Twain.
Talking about the latter she added, “I did a show with her and she was just so great to work with”.
Tiera also touched upon how she had to adapt as a musician during the pandemic. “We've all had to figure out different ways to get our music out there, and connect with fans.
And I just feel like people are so much more receptive to try different things. And I definitely feel the music business, especially Nashville shifting in a different way”.
