The Castellows are at it again, quenching fans' voracious appetites with little bits of new music.
Today (Dec. 6), the sibling trio has unveiled a three-track EP, dubbed Alabama Stone. The abbreviated collection follows the trio's debut release, A Little Goes A Long Way, from this past February.
The project features the down-home title offering, as well as the shimmering 'Place To Leave' and the sweeping 'Girl That Boy'.
While the sisters were born and raised in Georgia, they have a deep connection to the neighboring state for which their latest EP takes its name.
In a recent post on social media, the siblings shared, "Like pretty much everything we write, these songs are a testament to our roots and where we come from."
They explain, "Our hometown borders the state of Alabama, so in many ways we also feel like we are from both Georgia and Alabama. Our grandmother lives in a log cabin in the country in Alabama. The original room in the cabin has a fireplace with a stone in the center shaped like the state of Alabama. Lily saw this and thought Alabama Stone would be an interesting title for a song. That’s how the idea for the song was born, and we thought it was most fitting to be the title track of this EP. As always, we are so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to release new music. Thank you to the fans."
This new batch of songs follows hot on the heels of several one-off releases from the trio. 'Miss America', 'Ways To Go', as well as their Wyatt Flores collaboration 'Sober Sundays' have all cropped up over the last several months of what has become a breakout year for the rising stars.
