Muscadine Bloodline have taken to socials to offer fans a tantalising update as to what they can expect in terms of new music in 2025 - and it seems the answer is a lot and soon.

The beloved Alabama duo have built a cult following over the past few years, with Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton gaining respect from die-hard traditionalists through their intricate harmonies, independent spirit and unwaveringly down-home themes, while making a point of still appealing to mainstream listeners. Muscadine Bloodline were recruited to open on one of the biggest tours of 2024, Post Malone's F-1Trillion run, which combined with the release of their fourth album, The Coastal Plain, to make 2024 a blockbuster year.

In their reflective New Year message, Muscadine Bloodline have confirmed fans can look forward to not one, but two new albums in 2025, including “Chapter 2” of The Coastal Plain.

The ‘Me On You’ hitmakers have explained via a heartfelt new post, “Year 10. Dang, we've been doing this awhile now. Some days it feels like we just got started and other days it feels like we've been doing this “Muscadine” thing forever. Regardless, we've learned a lot over the years and most of it has been trial by fire”.

The ‘Dispatch to 16th Ave.’ singer-songwriters expanded on their next studio album, “To us, creatively speaking, it feels like we finally pieced what took 7 years to figure out together; starting with the Teenage Dixie record a few years back. Since then, our goal has been to give y'all just that much more on the next record and have fun doing it every time. So when it came to the concept of The Coastal Plain, we couldn't get all the stories and ideas conveyed on just...ONE RECORD”.

Muscadline Bloodline went on to tease how the record will be a sequel of sorts to The Coastal Plain, while still being a distinct album in its own right, “That being said, we will be starting this year by turning to chapter 2 of The Coastal Plain. In the form of a whole different record. We don't wanna spoil all the details.. but rather than a deluxe record, or giving you songs that “didn't make the cut” on the first go around, consider it an evolution of The Coastal Plain and what was left behind of the place we spent 18 years of our lives. One record wasn't intended to live without the other and honestly, we both like chapter 2 a little bit more”.

Muscadine Bloodline then offered listeners an extra few reasons to look forward to the next twelve months, “God willing, 2025 is gunna be our biggest year yet. Our biggest headlining tour to start the year, a new record soon, some big festivals this summer, the biggest tour we've been apart of in the fall, and another record at the end of the year. (TWO RECORDS IN ONE YEAR???.....Yes)”.

Muncaster and Stanton concluded, “Just wanted to be transparent with you and thank y'all for allowing us to do this for the last 9 years. Because of your support we are able to hold the reins, independently, and help us fight off the wolves at the same time. We truly are having the most fun we've ever had and are just enjoying the process without worrying about what everybody else is doing. So, with all that being said, here's to YEAR 10 and hopefully 10 more after that”.

In November 2023, Muscadine Bloodline surprised listeners by releasing a new six-song project, The Supply Drop, exclusively on vinyl, and we're hoping the duo decide to make those available to stream soon as part of one of their forthcoming albums. Either way, rest assured it's a good time to be a Muscadine Bloodline fan.
