Lainey Wilson has made a cameo in the frosty new Coors Light commercial, which aired during the 2024 Super Bowl.
The blockbuster visuals open with a family welcoming their daughter's boyfriend to watch the big game, before he walks through the door wearing the enemy team's jersey, causing an awkward silence. In an attempt to break the ice, the daughter offers everyone a Coors Light, with the commercial then taking inspiration from The Polar Express as a giant Coors Light train begins its journey to the house.
As it gets underway on this arduous trek, it sends an ice-cold blast rippling out in its wake, with a man hanging up his clothes, a couple getting married and a woman fixing her truck at a gas station all being showered in the train's refreshing, glacial mist.
When the train makes its way through what appears to be Hollywood, it passes a camera crew setting up shoot starring ‘Heart Like A Truck’ hitmaker, Lainey Wilson.
The recent Grammy winner poses in front of a scenic, Wild West-inspired backdrop, before the train rattles ferociously by. Unlike the other characters in the commercial, the Coors Light Express deposits an additional gift for Lainey - a glistening can of beer, prompting the Louisiana chart-topper to express her disbelief, “Oh my...”.
Once the train crashes through the family's home, LL Cool J is revealed to be the conductor, with the US rapper treating each member of the household to an extra cold one.
The Coors Light commercial was one of the many inventive adverts to air during the 2024 Super Bowl, which also featured star-studded visuals from Uber Eats, featuring Lainey's good friend, Jelly Roll, alongside Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer and more.
Lainey Wilson is currently gearing up to release her first solo single since her acclaimed 2022 project, Bell Bottom Country, with the ‘Wildflowers and Wild Horses’ singer-songwriter set to make ‘Country's Cool Again’ available on February 16.
The new Coors Light and Lainey Wilson partnership feels like a perfectly timed collaboration, with Lainey continuing to raise the genre's profile and make country ‘cool’ again - in more ways than one - through this chilly Super Bowl commercial.
