If you've been hankering for more from newcomer Kashus Culpepper, you're in luck.
The artist announced you won't have to wait much longer for new music as his recently-teased 'Who Hurt You' will officially be available on Friday, July 19.
"This song means so much to me," the artist shared in a post on social media in between snippets of the forthcoming tune. "It was one of the first original songs I put up on socials. And i wasn’t expecting it to do what it did. Me and @markaddisonmusic the day we wrote it just wanted to get some things off of our chest, and we just put a melody behind."
From what has been glimpse online, the result is a striking acoustic offering, beautifully blanketed in bright strings and carried on Culpepper's emotive croon.
"At first I was kinda scared to post it," he added of the personal number, "because of how vulnerable I was in the song. So thank yall for helping me realize we all go thru things, and there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. From the comments, messages, and singing it with me at my shows has really made this ole bama boy happy. Love yall, and can’t wait for yall to hear the full version."
'Who Hurt You' arrives close behind the release of Culpepper's first official single 'After Me?,' which dropped in mid-June not long after the rising star announced a label deal with Big Loud.
“Truly honored to be a part of the Big Loud family,” Culpepper has shared of the career move. “They've believed in my music and songs since the beginning. Their intense love of music, and the rich history of it all matches mine, and I couldn't be more grateful to be surrounded around like-minded people. I'm so excited to be part of this lineup of artists that I've listened to for so long. Once again, thank you for believing in my music! Much love!”
There seems to be much more in store for the artist, who will act as support for Charley Crockett and NEEDTOBREATHE on their respective tours through the summer while, hopefully, unveiling more new music along the way.
