Ashley Ryan calls time on a relationship that’s going nowhere on her brand new single, ironically titled ‘Yours’, because that’s the last thing this good-for-nothing man is going to be calling her from now on.

"Sometimes when you’re in an unhealthy relationship it’s hard to see the red flags that everyone around you is seeing,” Ashley Ryan told us. “And when you do, it’s not always easy to move on. This is a song about a woman who finally musters up the strength to leave the guy that doesn’t appreciate her or know her worth."

“Go ahead and leave your key on the porch underneath the welcome mat / You ain’t welcome here no more,” she tells him as she delivers another knock-out punch to their relationship. “I'd rather be on my own than sitting round waiting for what I don't want.”

With echoes of the lush, dynamic arrangements and stoic defiance of Lee Ann Womack and Martina McBride at their sassiest, Ashley Ryan takes off on a seemingly effortless cruise through Nashville’s honky tonks and comes up with a refreshingly modern twist on classic country.

"One of my favorite songs of all time is 'Fooled Around and Fell in Love' by Elvin Bishop,” Ryan explained. “I wanted this song to have a similar throwback feel to it, with a singing steel and electric guitar-driven instrumentation. No matter what mood you’re in, you’ll want to crank this song up and get lost in its nostalgia."

‘Yours’ is premiering exclusively on Holler below.

‘Yours’ is released on Spinville on 25th August.
