Country music stars Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard will all be performing at Joe Biden's presidential inauguration ceremony today, January 20.
Joining Lady Gaga (who will be singing the national anthem) and Jennifer Lopez, Garth Brooks will take to the stage during the afternoon ceremony, once Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have been sworn in.
In response to jokes that he will be "the only Republican at the ceremony", Brooks said, "This is not a political statement, this is a statement of unity. This is an honor for me to get to serve ... and it's one of the things that, if my family is around, no matter who the president-elect is, it's an honor to be asked."
From 8:30pm E.T, Tom Hanks will host a special Celebrating America 90-minute event, during which Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard will perform new single 'Undivided', a track that "serves as a call for self-reflection and unity during these most uncertain times."
Though the inauguration ceremony will be predominantly virtual, it will feature a variety of performances from musicians throughout the day, with acts including Earth, Wind and Fire, Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato and Bruce Springsteen also expected to make appearances.
ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS, NBC and MSNBC will air the special on television, whilst The Biden Inaugural Committee will be live streaming coverage on its website, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch.
