A series of neon green billboards have started popping up around the US, teasing blockbuster new Charli XCX collaborations, as part of the ‘Apple’ hitmaker's forthcoming Brat and it's completely different but also still brat album of remixes.
Excitingly, a billboard seen in Minneapolis features folk titan Bon Iver, which seemingly hints that the duo's long-awaited collaboration will appear on Charli XCX's new record.
Charli XCX and Justin Vernon - the man behind Bon Iver - were spotted in the studio together earlier in the year, but it's not yet clear what track they were working on.
Charli XCX's new project, the playfully titled Brat and it's completely different but also still brat, will consist of sixteen collaborative remixes taken from the original Brat album. The expanded record will arrive on streaming platforms on Friday, October 11.
Charli XCX's initial Brat album dropped in June, and the British singer-songwriter concoction of dizzying hedonism, bold lyricism and electro-pop earworms has helped to cement the record as one of the most influential releases of the year.
We've already been treated to collaborative revamps of ‘Talk Talk’ with Charli XCX's tour-mate, Troye Sivan, ‘360’ with Robyn and Yung Lean, ‘Von Dutch’ with AG Cook and Addison Rae, ‘Girl, So Confusing’ with Lorde and ‘Guess’ with Billie Eilish.
In addition to Bon Iver, Charli XCX's Brat and it's completely different but also still brat - which follows the three-song deluxe, Brat and it's the same but there's three more songs so it's not - R&B maverick, Tinashe, appeared on a luminous green billboard this week, leading fans to believe she too will be guesting on the new record.
