Billy Bob’s Texas has announced plans to celebrate their 40th Anniversary.
The venue, known as ‘The Worlds Largest Honky Tonk’, will welcome Country Music Hall of Fame artist Hank Williams Jr to help with the celebrations.
Located in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, Billy Bob’s Texas first opened its doors in 1981. Since then, it has welcomed some of the biggest names in music every month.
Billy Bob’s Texas has already started a year long celebration for their 40th - but will hold a special anniversary weekend on April 1-3.
Larry, Steve & Rudy: The Gatlin Brothers will kick things off on the 1st before Hank Williams Junior entertains on the 2nd and 3rd.
On January 23rd, ACM Award winner Scotty McCreery performed a limited capacity show at the venue, where a $1 of every ticket sold was donated to the ACM Lifting Lives charity, dedicated to improving lives through the power of music with health programs and hardship services. In total, the concert raised $2,100.
As well as live entertainment, on a Friday and Saturday night the venue also features live bull-riding! Billy Bob’s has been named Country Music Club of the year 10 times by the Academy of Country Music.
Tickets for the 40th Anniversary Weekend are on sale now - with a full schedule of events having been announced up until October 10th 2021.
