The inaugural Sleeping in the Woods festival was lauded by attendees, artists and critics alike, and we're certainly excited that the intimate showcase is returning for a second instalment in 2024.
This time, it'll also be expanding to three days – up from last year's two – and slated for May 17-19.
Attendees will be treated to sets from more than 20 of the region's talented tunesmiths, including Darrell Scott and Nicholas Jamerson and the Morning Jays, who is returning for the second year.
Also on hand will be Brother Smith, Joe Clark, Zoe Howard, Ireland Owens, Melanie Davis, Elijah Boone, Cristina Vane, Leah Blevins, Rachel Baiman, Cody Lee Meece and Hunter Flynn, among others.

Here, we'll have all the up-to-date news on line-up announcements, confirmation of weekend dates and all the latest ticket and festival pass details for 2024.
The 2023 songwriting extravaganza was hosted by fast-emerging alt-country artist, Nicholas Jamerson, with a stellar array of performers taking the stage across the two-day event.
Festival-goers were able to witness sets from the likes of Jim Lauderdale, who also hosted a special songwriting masterclass, as well as Scott T. Smith, Brit Taylor, Jordan Allen, Emily Jamerson, Don Rogers, Bella White, Katie Toupin and Grayson Jenkins.
Songwriting and storytelling magic was at the heart of the evocative occasion, with the serene forest setting of Lake Cumberland, Kentucky serving as the perfect backdrop for two days of compelling country, Americana, folk and roots music.
Proceeds from the event were directed towards Troublesome Creek Stringed Instruments Company, which was founded to help those who have previously struggled with substance abuse disorders with their recovery, through a variety of artistic projects.
