South Carolina's festival for all the senses, High Water, has been confirmed for April 15-16 2023, and will feature performances from artists such as 

, Beck, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Wilco and more.

The festival will take place at the scenic Riverfront Park in North Charleston, South Carolina. The line-up has been curated by homegrown country-folk duo, Shovels & Rope, who will also be performing at the event. 

The Charleston-born group played a key role in the 2022 instalment of the festival, performing as part of a line-up that included Jack White, My Morning Jacket, Old Crow Medicine Show and more.

The 2023 line-up will feature an eclectic mix of big-name artists from the alt-rock and alt-country scene, as well as exciting new faces that are starting to cause a stir across the industry. One such artist is Sierra Ferrell; following the release of her acclaimed 2021 debut album, 

, Ferrell has been dropping a series of alternative versions of tracks from the project throughout 2022. Fans will undoubtedly be excited to hear a selection of these songs live at High Water Festival 2023. 

Along with Ferrell, Beck and Wilco will provide eagerly anticipated sets, while Rainbow Kitten Surprise will bring their trademark harmonies to the Riverfront Park stage.

 crisscrossed the country busking, enchanting audiences all over North America and Europe with her high-spirited and dazzling live performances. 

Eventually, Ferrell made her way to Nashville where her distinctive voice and songwriting began to attract fans and she signed with Rounder Records to release her debut studio album

Garnering both popular and critical acclaim for her jazz-inflected multi-instrumentalism and striking, timeless voice, Sierra Ferrell has reinvented the country wheel and shone as one of the brightest young luminaries in roots music today, bringing a little beautifully eccentric magic to everything she touches.

With a musical upbringing that included playing everywhere from truck stops and boxcars to New Orleans street corners, her music is an eclectic rag-bag of freewheeling bluegrass and old-timey country folk.

She won the Emerging Act of the Year prize at the Americana Honors & Awards in 2022, before scooping the Artist of the Year award and the Album of the Year award in 2024 for

Since joining Holler towards the end of 2022, he has expanded the news output and introduced new article formats such as Lyrics & Meaning pieces, Exclusive Q&As and Album Hub Pages. 

Maxim enjoys staying on the pulse of the latest releases, and is a country aficionado and avid listener of anything by Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, George Strait, Florida Georgia Line, Niko Moon, Megan Moroney and Zach Bryan, as well as keenly covering Post Malone’s transition into country music.
