After relocating from its familiar home of Lewisburg, West Virginia, to its new site near the Boyd County Fairgrounds in Ashland, Kentucky, Hope in the Hills’ Healing Appalachia is expected to return in 2026.

Marking its first year in the new location and its sixth overall in 2025, the latest installment of the beloved event brought together another folk-filled weekend committed to healing to the mountains of Kentucky.

Noted as the largest recovery-based music festival, 2025 saw two Kentucky natives sharing the headlining duties as Tyler Childers and Chris Stapleton each rook a night of the revered weekend. Alongside them, artists like Lukas Nelson, Molly Tuttle, Blackberry Smoke, American Aquarium and more also took to the stage.

Here, we'll have all the up-to-date news on line-up announcements, the latest ticket and festival pass details, alongside any other info and details for the 2025 event.

Lineup

The full lineup and day splits for Healing Appalachia 2026 will be announced in the coming months.

History

Founded and hosted by Childers and his team at WhizzbangBAM!, Healing Appalachia is the flagship production of Hope in the Hills, a West Virginia-based nonprofit organization committed to combating the opioid crisis and supporting recovery across Appalachia.

Held during National Recovery Month, Healing Appalachia honors the more than 87,000 people in the US who die of overdose every year and celebrate the nearly 21 million people recovering from alcohol and/or substance use disorder.

Since the inaugural Healing Appalachia in 2018, the event has grown from 1,500 fans at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds to 20,000 music lovers from 42 states and three countries. Over the years, the stages have been graced by Gov’t Mule, My Morning Jacket, Shooter Jennings, Sierra Ferrell, Lost Dog Street Band, 49 Winchester, Charles Wesley Godwin, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Margo Price, Sierra Hull and more.
