Headwaters Country Jam will return to the rolling hills of Montana in 2024 from July 25-July 27.

Festival organizers are set to bring together another phenomenal slate of country acts for 2024, which will include three headlining sets from 

 Jon Pardi, rocking newcomer Bailey Zimmerman and country standard Gary Allan.

Throughout the rest of the weekend, Montana attendees will be served delicious performances from the like of Luke Grimes, Corey Kent, 49 Winchester, Stephen Wilson Jr., Ella Langley, Jake Worthinton and other bright new faces from the genre.

Headwaters hosted a knockout lineup in 2023, featuring headlining performances from Parker McCollum, Ashley McBryde and Koe Wetzel. The three-day weekend also saw sets from Ernest, Warren Zeiders, Tracy Lawrence, Randall King, George Birge, Lily Rose, Shane Profitt, John Morgan and more.

First launched in June of 2008, Headwaters Country Jam is Montana’s biggest annual country music festival. Each year, the event takes place in the beautiful natural outdoor amphitheater just outside of Three Forks and nearby the Jefferson River.

In years past, the festival has seen artists like HARDY, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ian Munsick, Red clay Strays, Chris Janson, Craig Morgan, Ben Burgess, Granger Smith, Midland, Mitchell Tenpenny, Dustin Lynch, The Cadillac Three, Jameson Rodgers and more take the stage.

He emerged onto the scene in the early 2010s, when classic country was still largely seen as old hat.

Pardi’s breakthrough 2014 single, ‘Up All Night’, was pop enough to fit into the existing paradigm, while introducing the world to Pardi’s penchant for a more retro, traditional-leaning style.

 saw Pardi hitting his stride, and the project produced a string of prolific singles, such as ‘Heartache on the Dance Floor’, ‘Night Shift’ and ‘Dirt on My Boots’.

Pardi’s increasing prominence was recognised at the 2017 CMA Awards, as he won the coveted New Artist of the Year prize.

Pardi returned emphatically in 2020 with 

- a classic country album-title for a classic country album. The project found Pardi leaning into the party-puns that so often get linked to his last name, with the Californian highlighting that he’s just as good at honouring the neon lights (‘Tied One On’) as he is at capturing the after-hours, tear-in-my-beer melancholy (‘Starlight’).

Arguably Pardi’s most assured record was 2022’s 

, which pivoted around a trademark piece of wordplay (“

They don't know how much I missed her Saturday night

”). Alongside his faux-bandmates of Midland, ‘Longneck Way to Go’ epitomised the exuberant, playful representation of heartbreak that Pardi has honed throughout his career. The swaggering single earned 2022 CMA Award nominations for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year.

The further into his career that Jon Pardi has progressed, the more it feels as though he’s settled into the latter half of his neo-traditionalist sound.

 EP in June 2022, it became the biggest streaming country debut of all time. Zimmerman also became one of just three country artists to earn over a million streams on each track during street week alone. The other two artists? None other than Luke Combs and Zach Bryan.

It’s sometimes difficult to believe that Bailey Zimmerman is still in his early twenties, and that he’s only been releasing music since 2021. In the space of just over a year, Zimmerman has enjoyed an ascent that has felt so meteoric, that he seems to have already transcended the labels of ‘prodigy’ and ‘prospect’.

‘Fall in Love’, one of the highlights from his 2022 EP, became his first Country Radio No. 1 in December. The single serves as the perfect encapsulation of what makes Zimmerman such a threat. It has the signature rasp and heart-wrenching intensity that pervades much of the project, but - crucially - it is packaged up with a pop-leaning production style that makes it ideal for Country Radio.

The result is a sound that simultaneously straddles both the mainstream and the outer edges of the modern country landscape. Part of Zimmerman’s ability to infiltrate both markets can be traced back to his blue collar roots, having grown up working on a gas pipeline.

In 2023, Zimmerman is joining Morgan Wallen on his blockbuster 

world tour. Zimmerman has previously cited Wallen as a mentor, with the Sneedville native having even co-written ‘Trainwreck’ from the 

When he heads out on the road with Morgan Wallen, Zimmerman will receive a first-hand glimpse into what it takes to become one of the biggest country stars on the planet. Given how emphatic Zimmerman’s emergence has been so far, few would be surprised to see him unveil his own world tour this time next year.

Luke Grimes has always been known, firstly, for his acting skills.

Running the gamut of roles in blockbuster films, such as 

, and a handful of spots on popular TV shows, including 

Most people know Grimes nowadays from his time of the neo-Western drama series, 

, where he stars as Kayce Dutton alongside Kevin Costner. He became part of the main cast of Taylor Sheridan's modern-day western in 2018 and has stayed with the show as it's steadily become a staple in today's TV guide.

However, if you ask the Ohio native, he would tell you that his sights weren't always set on acting. In fact, from an early age, he had quite the interest in music.

Growing up in Dayton, Ohio, Grimes grew up singing and playing music in church; later going on to learn guitar, piano and drums. After his high school graduation, he headed to the creative mecca of New York City to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and play with his alt-country band, Mitchell's Folly.

Grimes received his first acting role in 2006, and two years later, Mitchell's Folly released their debut album, 

. As fate should have it, though, acting soon overshadowed music for Grimes.

Grimes signed with Universal Music Group in late 2022, also releasing his debut single, 'No Horse to Ride.' The first taste of music from Grimes made its way onto episode eight of 

's fifth season, likely marking just the beginning of his musical appearances.

Taking on a sound and style akin to that of Zach Bryan, Turnpike Troubadours and Colter Wall, Grimes has released a smattering of songs that dig into the purposefully under-produced and stripped-back feel often found throughout

As the show has been on hiatus, Grimes has been busy readying his debut album expected for release in late 2023. The record will likely feature his recent releases, including ‘Oh Ohio,’ ‘Playin’ On The Tracks’ and the Foy Vance-graced ‘Hold On.'

It goes without saying that the 39-year-old earthy troubadour's country music career is one that we'll be keeping an eye on.

elevated 49 Winchester from regional heroes to national prodigies. Various outlets championed the group for their eclectic mix of influences, with Holler naming the 2022 album as one of its Albums of the Year.

In 2023, 49 Winchester are set to embark on a hotly anticipated tour across the US, which will see them playing in Tennessee, Arizona and more.
