Originally from Southern California, Melanie Rooten graduated from Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma in 2023 with a BA in Journalism – as well as minors in both digital marketing and Spanish – prior to pursuing a career as a music and entertainment journalist in Music City.
Contributing to country music publications like Country Now, Music Mayhem, and Celeb Secrets Country, Melanie is an avid listener of country music, getting the chance to chat with artists like Reba McEntire, Cody Johnson, Dustin Lynch, and more throughout her career thus far.
On the other hand, Melanie lets her love for all things movies, television, and pop culture shine by contributing to publications like We Got This Covered, Celeb Secrets, and Decider as well, specializing in reality/competition shows like Survivor, Big Brother, The Bachelor franchise, and beyond.
