Alaina landed a record deal after her time on the series, and in October of that year she released her debut album, Wildflower. In 2012, the ACM Awards declared her New Artist of the Year.
Alaina continued touring as she began working on her sophomore album, but that project, Road Less Traveled, didn't arrive until 2017. The CMA Awards nominated her for New Artist of the Year, and the following year, she won Female Vocalist of the year at the ACM Awards.
In 2021, Alaina released her third album Sitting Pretty On Top of the World. She also penned the book Getting Good at Being You; Learning to Love Who God Made You to Be.
