Country singer/songwriter Hannah Juanita was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but it took relocating to the Pacific Northwest for her to clearly hear the call of music.
She moved to Washington in 2018 with her then-partner, but the experience left her miserable. "I was supposed to be living the dream, but I was miserable, lonely, and lost", Juanita said. "So, I’d sit by the wood stove in my cabin and write country songs while it rained".
Initially, Juanita planned to sell her songs to Nashville artists, but something pulled at her — a need to be the one singing what she wrote. She left Washington, relocated to Nashville in January 2019 and began working on her album Hardliner, which was released in 2021.
