Exit/In have launched a GoFundMe campaign to save the venue.

The revered Nashville music venue has now been sold to hotel-development group AJ Capital, after Chris Cobb - who operated the venue for 17 years - had his offer rejected.

Now, in a last ditch attempt to save the venue - which opened fifty years ago - Cobb has organised a GoFundMe Campaign. He hopes to raise $200,000 to add to what the new owners paid for the property and approach them directly.

In the last few days, the campaign has already raised nearly half of its target. Artists such as Hayley Williams, Margo Price, Will Hoge and American Aquarium have jumped on board with calls to save the venue.

Exit/In is located on Nashville’s ‘Rock Block’ and has played host to artists such as Waylon Jennings, REM and the Police.

Cobb is hopeful the new owners will accept his new offer. “It’d be great for them to be a part of the story of saving the club and helping us break this decades-old gentrification cycle that has ultimately taken out so many clubs across the country, and across the world, decade after decade.”
