Things are certainly coming up roses for Ernest fans, with the Nashville native releasing thirteen brand new songs as part of his deluxe album.

The project extends Ernest's acclaimed 2022 project, Flower Shops (The Album), in a revamped version of the record, wittily entitled Flower Shops: Two Dozen Roses.

In the lead-up to the release, Ernest had released three singles, ‘Songs We Used To Sing’, ‘Unhang The Moon’ and ‘Miss That Girl’, all of which found the country crooner reprising his role as the hopeless romantic that drove the original Flower Shops.

The new tracks lean into the traditional, 90s country sound that Ernest debuted last year, with a range of highlights including the Jake Worthington-assisted ‘Heartache In My 100 Proof’ and the noticeably Buffettian ‘Drunk With My Friends’.

Another gem on the new project is ‘What Have I Got To Lose’, for which Ernest recruits legendary songwriter and frequent George Strait collaborator, Dean Dillon. It's a song that feels reminiscent of some of Strait's classic ballads, such as the iconic ‘I Just Can't Go On Dying Like This’.

Two Dozen Roses - a nod to Shenandoah's hit song - continues the warm, sepia-tinted aesthetic of 2022's Flower Shops, with Ernest introducing a broader range of stylistic influences on the new tracks.

Before making Two Dozen Roses available, alongside the three singles, Ernest offered fans further glimpses into the new project through his popular Salvage Sessions videos.

These showcased a range of songs from the original Flower Shops and the deluxe version in a new light, with Ernest performing acoustic renditions of ‘Comfortable When I'm Crazy’, ‘Feet Wanna Run’, ‘Songs We Used To Sing’ and ‘Miss That Girl’.
